Bartek Rainski was born in Krakow, but grew up and studied in New York and Los Angeles. Throughout his professional life, since the early 90s, he has been involved in the film industry, as a director, screenwriter and producer (film, advertising, music videos).

He is the co-producer of an international production, enthusiastically received by critics and audiences, the film “The Zone of Interest” directed by Jonathan Glazer. The film won the Grand Prix at last year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Since 2016 Bartek regularly visited Oświęcim, working intensively on the film. The Polish premiere of “The Zone of Interest” is planned for February 9, 2024. Bartek Rainski is currently working on his feature debut titled “Thief”, which will be shot in New York.


“The Zone of Interest” is a Grand Prix winner at the Cannes Film Festival, directed by Jonathan Glazer (“Sexy Beast”, “Birth” and “Under the Skin”) film about the daily life of the Auschwitz commander, Rudolf Höss, and his family.

In the main roles we will see Sandra Hüller (Hedwig Höss) known from the film “Toni Erdmann” and Christian Friedel (Rudolf Höss), who became famous for his performance in the film “The White Ribbon” by Michael Haneke.

The media hailed “The Zone of Interest” as a gripping and deeply engaging film (Variety), which will stay with the viewers long after the screening (Deadline), extremely needed in contemporary times (Vanity Fair), a shocking look at the banality of evil (Indiewire).

The film is a co-production of Great Britain, Poland and the USA. All the shots for the film were made in Poland.
