Visegrad IWalks: Teaching Democracy through Digital Local History Walks

April 22, 2021 (Thursday) 6-7 p.m.

Plase join us at the virtual event inaugurating the newly developed IWalks (testimony-based local history walks) created by partners from the Visegrad countries in Oświęcim, (PL), Terezin (CZ), Kosice (SK) and Baja (HU)

Free admission. The event will be held in English. Register online to participate (expired)

Developed by USC Shoah Foundation – The Institute for Visual History and Education, IWalk unlocks a new window into our past.

Visitors and students at authentic sites of history and memorials can discover curated IWalks—tours that connect specific locations of memory and memorialization with testimonies from survivors and witnesses of genocide, violence and mass atrocity.

Student IWalks deepen learning by prompting students to respond to guided questions, which can be assessed by educators.
