Portraits of Jewish women published in 2006 by the Fundacja im. prof. Mojżesz Schorr. I am adding eight to the images of fourteen women in the first part.

In the medieval Midrash HaGadol, edited by David ben Amram, each of the characteristics of a brave woman mentioned in The Praise of a Brave Woman from the Book of Proverbs (31) was assigned to one of the biblical women and one letter of the Hebrew alphabet. I also included lay women in my own gallery of women. I decided to emphasize the strong thread of tradition that connects them - each of the presented characters carries a different but similar woman.
