Projekt PATH: Preparing Ambassadors to Teach About the Holocaust

2025

Are you a Polish university student or young professional aged 17-25?Are you interested in history, remembrance culture, social justice and responsibility?
Apply to PATH – Preparing Ambassadors to Teach About the Holocaust, an immersive year long Holocaust education and transmission program to empower young Europeans to pass on the memory and lessons of the Second World War.

Supported by the European Commission, PATH engages youth from Austria, Germany, and Poland in a comprehensive learning journey that includes preparatory trainings, peer learning, study visits, and personal encounters with Holocaust survivors.

The program’s curriculum is both rich and diverse, offering participants the opportunity to engage in study trips to significant Holocaust sites, including:

– a pre-seminar in Linz, Austria (May 14-18, 2025)
– a special 8-day visit to Germany (July 26-August 2, 2025)
– shorter visits including Jewish Vienna, Jasenovac and Loibl

Additionally, participants gain access to webinars exploring topics like: Occupation, Violence during the Holocaust, Denial, Testimonies and many more.

The PATH project emphasizes the importance of survivor testimonies in Holocaust education. By facilitating intimate meetings with survivors, the program ensures that the memories and lessons of the Holocaust are preserved and passed on. Participants are trained to become ambassadors of remembrance, equipped to share these powerful stories through social media and other platforms.

The program is a cooperation with the Austrian Service Abroad, B’nei Akiva Germany and B’nai B’rith Europe.
