Not many people would like to participate in the history of the shtetl. And yet, the few remaining traces of the past - such as the stamp with the inscription "Association of Lumberjacks for the Study of the Mishnah in Berdyczów", which Abraham Joshua Heschel found in New York years later - are puzzling, arousing some kind of jealousy.
