Help Save the Unique Tombstone of Legionnaire Isidor Hirsch!

To mark the 25th anniversary of the Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation, we invite you to support a meaningful initiative – the restoration of the historic tombstone of Icchak Isidor Hirsch, a native of Oświęcim and a soldier of the Polish Legions who fought for Poland’s independence.
His tombstone bears two rare and powerful symbols of his dual identity: the crowned Polish eagle and the Star of David. Sadly, the monument is in very poor condition, and without your help, this important part of Polish history may be lost forever.
Funds raised will go toward professional conservation, partial reconstruction, and the installation of an informational plaque at the Jewish cemetery in Oświęcim.
